Bessey Edge Clamps

We offer edge clamps from Bessey in two high-quality variants:

The KT5-1CP and the KT5-2 are used with normal clamps that are placed on the top and bottom of the panel. The edge clamp is placed on the rail of the screw clamp and the edge band or veneer band is pressed against the edge with one or two spindles.

The Kantenfix KF2 from Bessey is an independent solution that does not require another clamp. Its eccentrically mounted pressure jaws can be applied to panels up to 80 mm thick, and the edging material is fixed with a centrally located spindle.

FOR EDGE BANDING AND VENEER EDGES

In furniture making, there is always the problem of concealing unsightly edges, both with solid wood and with material boards. Traditionally, end-grain strips are often used for solid wood, whereas edge banding or veneer edges are usually used for material boards. Fixing the edge band or the veneer edge during gluing is problematic. With smaller workpieces and straight edges, it is sometimes possible to make do with normal clamps or allowances and improvised clamping solutions. For large panels and curved edges, you can hardly avoid using edge clamps.
