FAQ, Videos and more

Sometimes the circular hand saw (as a plunge saw or as an immersion saw) is the only electric saw in a small workshop. However, it is often used alongside a table saw, mitre saw and band saw. Very often, people reach for the hand-held circular saw when they need to cut materials other than solid wood and wood-based panels. You should take this into account when choosing suitable saw blades for the hand-held circular saw.

In our shop you will find a huge selection of saw blades for your hand-held circular saw. To help you find the right circular saw blade quickly and easily, we have sorted the saw blades according to thecutting grades, as well as according to the material to be processed.

Which saw blade for the hand-held circular saw?

The following saw blades should be part of the basic stock:

  • One carbide-tipped saw blade each for longitudinal and cross cuts in solid wood
  • One universal blade for both cutting directions and wood-based panels
  • Also recommended: a general-purpose blade with which aluminium, non-ferrous metals and plastics can also be sawn

For cuts of the finest quality, consider using a thin-cutting saw blade, which also has the advantage of causing significantly less material loss due to waste. In addition, the battery lasts longer with battery-powered saws due to the lower cutting load.

If you use the saw more often, consider using a thin blade.

If you work frequently with certain other materials (acrylic glass, sandwich material and composites, steel or other materials), it may be worthwhile or even absolutely necessary to purchase special blades.

Keep in mind that we offer circular saw blades for a large number of different models and different manufacturers. These differ not only in diameter, but also in the size of the centre bore. In addition to the intended use, please also consider these factors when placing your order.
