Use as a routing stand

Since the drill stand is equipped with a 43-mm fixture, it is not limited to use with drills. Other units that comply with the standard can also be used in this Euronorm clamping neck.

Above all, router motors can be used and turn the drill stand into a stationary router, which, thanks to the above-mentioned accessories, enable routing with unparalleled accuracy.

More flexible than the pillar drill

Advantages of a drill stand compared to a pillar drill

A pillar drilling machine or column drilling machine is used as a stationary device to drill holes precisely and exactly perpendicular to the material surface. However, the construction method imposes certain restrictions on the possible applications. In addition, these stationary machines sometimes take up considerable space in the workshop. This is where the drill stand for the cordless screwdriver comes into its own - it saves space and is much more flexible.

The basic function of a pillar drill is also provided by the drill stand: Precise vertical drilling. Since a drilling machine is usually already available, the drill stand offers significant cost savings. By using accessories such as coordinate tables, stop rails, end stops, machine vices and clamping plates, vertical drilling can also be carried out even faster, safer and more accurately.

Drilling at an angle to the material surface is effortless with a pivoting drill stand. You do not have to build any elaborate auxiliary constructions or jigs to align the workpiece at an angle, as is necessary with the pillar drilling machine. The drill rig is a mobile tool: it can be used not only in the workshop, but also for interior work and on the construction site. Vertical as well as inclined drilling is thus always and everywhere possible. In addition, this mobility also enables drilling in the centre of large workpieces (e.g. wood-based panels), where pillar drilling machines quickly reach their limits due to the clearance widths.
