The versatile fence of the Woodpeckers drill stand can be used in five ways:

As an under base to work close to an edge.

Rotate the fence to set a desired distance from the workpiece edge.

When working horizontally, position the fence as shown above for extra support.

You do not need the fence? Then use the thin edge as an "outrigger" to improve stability.

To use larger diameter wood drills, place the drill on the opposite side of the base.
