The Festool domino router DF 500 can be used for corner and surface joints in normal workpieces. However, with the same comfort and precision, you can also use the dowel router to rout slots for flat dowels down to a size of 4 x 20 mm. This also allows you to construct corner joints in drawers, for example, or to make narrow and thin frames.
