This edge banding router set contains two matching routers for creating stable glue joints. The T-profile-like pattern fixes the edge banding in one direction for easy gluing. The profile creates a larger gluing surface compared to blunt gluing and therefore provides greater strength. The profile edge trimmer is used in the area of mitre edge banding, as well as one-sided edge banding with a hidden edge, and is also used for the flat connection of several material panels. In this process, a profile groove is routed all around or on one side of the carrier board edge (e.g. MDF board). The edge or the glue-in, in this case a solid wood edge, is provided with the counter profile (tongue). This can be mitred and glued around the carrier board. After finishing with a top layer such as veneer or Formica only the edge is visible. Depending on the thickness of the edge, it can be finished with various profile cutters.
