  • Roughing cutters are used for pre-routing. They are easily recognized by the interrupted profile of the cutting edge and are ideal for effective and fast material removal.
  • Finishing cutters usually have no profile on the cutting edge or the rake face, but provide a particularly smooth surface and an accurate routing results.
