Roughing cutters can be recognized by the interrupted cutting edge. This allows a much higher material removal rate compared to normal spiral flute or finishing cutters. These cutters are particularly suitable for quickly removing as much excess material as possible. For a high surface quality, we recommend subsequent machining with a finishing cutter.
