Metal Planes

A metal plane lies flat and stable on the workpiece. Due to its weight, less force must be applied when planing.
- Practical one-handed plane: The plane has recessed grips on the sides for one-handed operation. No other plane is as universal and handy as the iron one-handed plane.
- Multi-purpose bench plane: A plane made of metal serves as a cleaning plane or as a short roughing bench for dressing a wide variety of work materials.
