Large selection of high quality collets for the different models of the Trend routers. Trend's collet chuck is available in common shank diameters, such as 8 mm and 12 mm, and in special sizes.
For larger cutters, the trend collet 1/2" is used. For smaller jobs, Trend collets with a shank diameter of 3 mm to 9.5 mm are used.
Collet chuck size
The size of the collet chuck is dependent on the power of the router. As a rule, only collet chucks up to 8 mm can be used with devices up to approx. 1,000 watts. From 1,400 watts, most manufacturers offer collet chucks up to 12 mm or 1/2 inch.
Quality features of the collet chuck
Depending on the model and manufacturer, the shape of the collet chuck for the router can differ technically. The quality of the tool holders also varies greatly. In our online shop for milling tools, we only offer collet chucks from the original manufacturers and no simple replicas. This ensures that the router bits are always exactly and securely seated in the handheld router.
Care tips for collet chucks
Industrial collets should be cleaned after use with a tool care product to protect against further corrosion. Never force a collet open. Damaged collets should be replaced immediately to prevent the risk of further damage and the router bit falling out.
