For multifunctional tables and workbenches, the 20 mm diameter perforated grid system has become established. The largest range of accessories for multifunctional tables exists for this, such as workbench clamps, bench dogs and other devices. Anyone is free to drill or rout a perforated worktop themselves. However, it is faster and more precise to use workbench plates that are manufactured with the highest CNC precision.

There are no limits to the possible applications of a perforated grid plate. Whether routing, sawing, drilling, grinding or clamping: A workbench with a perforated grid is not called multifunctional for nothing.
A perforated worktop is suitable for a wide range of applications. A workbench with a perforated worktop is also called a (MFT). The possible applications range from routing, sawing, drilling, grinding to fastening the workpiece.
The 20 mm hole grid system has become established in our (metric) countries and can be combined with a wide range of accessories for multifunctional tables. The manufacturers of these accessories focus on the 20 mm diameter. In countries with predominantly imperial scales, the 3/4" (19.05 mm) diameter is often used. Grids with 1" or 30 mm diameter are sometimes used for multifunctional tables.
