The double plane from Pinie has a plane blade with chip breaker and is used for the fine processing of soft woods.The planing knife lies at an angle of 45° in the planing bed. The plane body is made of solid red beech, the sole of the plane made of tough hornbeam. This is glued on with teeth and thus counteracts warping of the plane.The plane iron is adjusted by a fine adjustment mechanism and fixed with a clamping screw. During development, special attention is paid to the ergonomics of the planes. This ensures low-fatigue work.The plane blade in our Pinie planes is from the premium range of the Czech manufacturer. It has a hardness of 60 Rockwell.
