Which size is the right one?
When selecting a rounding over cutter, pay attention to its dimensions: The shank size depends on the collet in your router, the standard dimensions have a diameter of 8 mm or 12 mm. Here you find rounding cutters in shank 12 mm. Further parameters for the rounding over cutter are the diameter to be worked, the radius and the desired routing depth, i.e. the absolutely working length. Together with the shank length, this results in the total length of the rounding over cutter.
Rounding over cutter with ball bearing
As a rule, rounding cutters are offered with an already mounted ball bearing. This means that you do not need any additional guide means when routing the workpiece. You can use the routing attachment for both for both straight and curved edges. Another advantage of the ball bearing is that it can be replaced by another ball bearing. In this way, you can Vary the design of the edge profile.
