Trimming wood edge banding is much easier with the Flush Trim Base.
You can use a hand plane, but that takes skill, time, and careful sharpening. A router with a flush trim bit is faster, but it’s hard to balance on the edge of a panel—and one small mistake can ruin your work.
The Flush Trim Base makes the job safer and easier.
It’s made from a strong 150 mm x 380 mm solid phenolic plate. More than half of the base rests flat on top of your panel to keep the router steady. The area where the router mounts is lowered slightly, so it clears anything up to 3 mm above the panel surface. Just set your router bit to cut slightly above the plywood surface—less than a tenth of a millimetre—and you’re ready to trim.
With the router standing straight up, there’s almost no chip-out. And with three ways to guide your cut, this tool makes trimming edge banding smooth, fast, and accurate.
The base is pre-drilled to fit most popular cordless and corded trim routers.
