    Sawing Tables

    Category image

For working with the hand-held circular saw and the electric jigsaw, you should consider using a saw table. In conjunction with guide rails, bench dogs and other contact and fixing elements, such a saw table can take over many tasks in the workshop and on the construction site that would otherwise have to be reserved for the stationary table saw. In our shop you will find sawing tables for many applications:

    • Vario-Bench saw table: Saw any angle you like.
    • Cross-cut saw table
    • Sawing tables for semi-stationary work: Festool STM and MFT

Safe sawing with a sawing table

Hand saws are often operated freehand, with the exception of mitre and other saw feeders. Circular table saws, sliding table saws, panel saws, mitre saws, band saws and other stationary saws have their own work tables for indicating and removing material, which are often supplemented by roller stands or additional tables. Hand-held electric saws can also be used freehand. As a rule, however, it is better not to do so, as this can significantly impair both work safety and precision. The use of a guide rail should be regarded as a minimum.

    Multifunctional sawing table

The Vario-Bench is a multifunctional table with a special focus on its use as a sawing table. Our own development is characterised by the arrangement of the hole drillings in the table top, which makes it possible to saw any angle with high precision with the help of a guide rail. Angle steps of 1° are possible, and there are also fixed settings for the common angles of 90°, 45°, 22.5° and 67.5°.

The table top is also available in the format of the Festool MFT to retrofit it accordingly.

    Mitre saw table

The cross-cut and mitre saw almost always relies on additional tables attached to the side of the work table, as longer workpieces are often processed with it. Such additional tables are often permanently installed, or they are removable so that they are only attached when needed. A completely mobile solution, on the other hand, is the Bora Portacube cross-cut saw base, in which the cross-cut saw, the work table and the side support tables form a unit that is equipped with wheels and is therefore transportable. This means that it does not take up any space in the workshop when it is not needed. Furthermore, it can also be used for interior finishing and other work on the construction site.

    Semi-stationary work

The precise cutting of large wood-based panels usually requires correspondingly large, stationary panel saws. This poses a problem in the small workshop and on the construction site. Festool has a solution: the STM 1800 mobile sawing and work table. In conjunction with a guide rail, a mitre fence and a hand-held circular saw, it can be used to saw large panels and other workpieces as a single person without any other aids. It is also suitable for other work - and it is easy to transport.

The Festool MFT multifunction table from Festool is characterised by full compatibility with the manufacturer's diverse range of accessories - the guide rails, clamping elements and stops allow safe and precise sawing of different workpieces in addition to many other jobs. This makes it predestined for use as a sawing table in the workshop and on the construction site.
