When it comes to adhesives and wood glues, we rely on Titebond at Sautershop. The parent company of Titebond, Franklin International, was founded in 1935 and offered an innovative solution for gluing wood: a hide glue that could be used directly from the container, meaning it didn't need to be mixed or heated. In 1951, the first Titebond glue was introduced, and since then, the family-owned company has steadily expanded its product range (also under the parent company's name for other adhesives), often with new, groundbreaking solutions.
The durability and longevity of a wood joint depend not only on the design features and any fasteners used but also on the suitability and quality of the glue or adhesive applied. With Titebond wood glues, you don’t need to worry about this: the glue joint is stronger than the wood of the bonded parts.
We offer the entire range of Titebond’s standard wood glues, from Titebond Original to Titebond II Premium and Titebond III Ultimate. They differ in their applications, water resistance, and load-bearing capacity due to their chemical composition (the corresponding stress groups are D2, D3, and D4). These three glues are also available as sets in two different container sizes.
For special purposes, fast-setting adhesives (Speed Set and Quick & Thick), as well as a glue with a longer open time (Extend), a veneer glue (Cold Press Veneer), and a liquid hide glue (Liquid Hide; for reversible bonds and furniture restoration) are available.
