A dovetail cutter can be used to produce two classic wood joints with the router: the ridge groove joint and the dovetail joint. Especially with the latter, the router saves a lot of tedious work with the chisel. However, a prerequisite for using these end mills is a dovetail template and/or suitable dovetail cutterjig.
The dovetail cutters in our programme are carbide tipped and come from leading manufacturers (ENT, Klein, Trend). For working with templates, we also offer dovetail cutters with ball bearings (thrust ring) on the shank. For heavy use, we recommend using a dovetail cutter with a 12 mm shank.
