Saw Blades for Every Application
We offer Freud saw blades for both stationary and non-stationary machines. For both machine types, the saw blades are available in a variety of sizes, and there are in addition to universal blades, those that are suitable not only for hard or soft wood but also particularly for light metals, non-ferrous metals, fiber cement, plastics, and coated boards.
In plunge and pendulum cover saws with battery drive, the saw blades significantly contribute to the usage duration of a battery. Freud ensures better battery runtimes with thin-kerf blades and the proven Perma-Shield® coating.
Shank Cutters in Superior Quality
Freud also manufactures high-quality milling tools for routers. The quality (hence the service life and durability) is ensured by the same factors as the saw blades: high-quality steel for the base bodies, cutting edges made of proprietary carbide, and for many cutters the red Perma-Shield® coating.
The shank cutters are available in diameters of 8 mm and 12 mm. The program includes all common cutter types from panel cutters to dovetail cutters, as well as cutters for special tasks (e.g., grip rail cutters) and insert knives for cutters.

Freud manufactures its products from high-quality steels, which are equipped with cutting edges made from in-house developed and produced carbide. With this TiCo ceramic carbide (titanium-cobalt-tungsten carbide), the company holds a unique position: No other manufacturer of cutting tools in the world uses its own carbide.
To increase the lifespan of the tools, the cutting edges are fixed to the base body with a special three-layer solder. The base bodies are also coated to prevent corrosion and resin buildup. Additionally, it reduces friction and thus prevents excessive heating of the tool, which could otherwise lead to deformations. This Perma-Shield® coating is easy to recognize by its signal red color. Freud, however, also uses another proprietary coating technology on some saw blades: The ICE-Silver coating ensures improved sliding properties and acts as a corrosion inhibitor.
