Carpentry work typically involves cutting larger timber sections than those found in a joiner's workshop. That demands high motor output. At the same time, weight must be kept manageable to allow fatigue-free working. And for mobile use, battery technology should ideally free you from reliance on a mains power supply.
Meeting all three requirements simultaneously calls for compromise — but Mafell handles this with considerable skill (from which other trades benefit, too, of course). The range extends from the compact yet powerful K55CC to the MKS185, which boasts a cutting depth of 185 mm that sets it apart from anything else in its class.
All of the manufacturer's circular saws can, of course, be used with their own guide rails, available in various lengths and also in a flexible design that rolls up for easier transport.
