Features & benefits

Forged by hand for an improved material structure
Only high-carbon steels are used for the blades.
Heat-treated in a salt bath for a hardness of approx. 61 Rockwell.
Hardened over the entire usable length of the blade.
Polished, groove-free surface for smooth cutting and easy plunging.
Blade with side bevels to facilitate work close to the edge.
For a razor-sharp finish, the cutting edge should be honed before first use.
The hornbeam handle is flattened to prevent the tool from rolling off the table.
The wooden handle comes with an oil finish for a pleasant feel (not varnished!).
Cutting angle of 25° and therefore ideal for soft to medium-hard woods.
For hard woods, we recommend grinding a cutting edge angle of 28 - 30°.
