The Woodpeckers Mortise Base connects directly to your plunge router using its guide rod attachment points, allowing you to secure a fully adjustable fence on both sides of your workpiece. This setup provides precise control over material drag and lets you accurately position the mortise within the thickness of the stock. With two sizes of stainless steel guide rods available, there’s a high chance one will fit your router. While many routers include an edge guide that attaches to these rods, a single shallow fence often falls short when working on narrow edges. The Woodpeckers Mortise Base solves this problem by featuring two robust 2-inch-wide fences, delivering the stability needed for perfect mortising. Additionally, it allows unlimited mortise length, depth determined by your router bit, and width matching any bit you choose..
