Arbortech - Company History

Arbortech was founded in 1983 in the Australian town of Nannup by Kevin Inkster, who still leads the company today. The company was a classic startup long before the term existed. Kevin was looking for a way to create furniture without the usual straight edges and right angles, and developed a tool that could be used with a regular angle grinder for this purpose. The success confirmed the idea, and from these beginnings, a product range was developed that satisfies all desires for freehand shaping and working with wood.

Arbortech's tools are now distributed worldwide and are also very popular in German-speaking countries. This is due in no small part to Arbortech's emphasis on important work safety. This is where the original Arbortech products differ advantageously from the many imitations found on the market.
