Properties & Advantages
Stops the saw blade within 5 milliseconds of contact.
Is triggered by contact with conductive material and the saw blade.
Examples:
Human skin (hands!)
Metal (aluminium, brass,...)
Wet, freshly cut wood
Trapped staples and nails do not trigger the cartridge.
Is required to operate SawStop circular table saws.
Very easy to fit: attach, lock, continue.
If the brake has been triggered by a finger or hand you can send the cartridge to SawStop and they will provide a FREE replacement
Once the AIM cartridge has been released, it must be replaced. It is also strongly recommended to replace the saw blade, even if there is no visible damage! Therefore it’s a good idea to keep an extra brake cartridge and blade on-hand in case of a contact event. Simply replace the blade and cartridge and you’re back to work.
