Properties & Advantages

• Hardened over the entire usable length of the blade.
• Polished, groove-free surface for smooth cutting and easy plunging.
• Blade with side bevels to facilitate work close to the edge.
• For a razor-sharp finish, the cutting edge should be honed before first use.Blades should be wiped with an oil cloth after use to prevent corrosion.
• The hornbeam handle is flattened to prevent the tool from rolling off the table.The clamp on the striking knob guarantees long-lasting enjoyment of the tool.
• The wooden handle comes with an oil finish for a pleasant feel (not varnished!).
• For hard woods, we recommend grinding a cutting edge angle of 28 - 30°.
