SawStop. Safety technology that redefines the standard.
The story of SawStop begins with a vision: What if table saws could detect danger for the user and stop before injuries occur? And so, the founder Dr. Steve Grass developed a technology that detects the electrical conductivity of human skin. In case of emergency, a brake is activated that brings the blade to a stop in less than 5 milliseconds and dives below the table. After manufacturers initially rejected the idea, Dr. Grass, along with three colleagues, founded the brand SawStop and introduced the first table saw with the technology to the market in 2004.
As of 2024, SawStop is also available in Europe. Available models include the compact CTS, and the mobile JSS for small workshops or use on construction sites, as well as the stationary PCS and the larger professional version of the PCS for demanding workshops and carpenters. Additionally, SawStop offers the matching brake cartridges, saw blades, and other versatile accessories for the innovative table saws.
