Forstner Bit Sets for Workshops and Furniture Making
A Forstner bit set gives you several commonly used drill diameters in one carefully selected assortment. Instead of purchasing each size separately, you receive a practical basic selection for a wide range of drilling tasks in furniture making, interior fitting and workshop use.
Forstner bits create precise holes with a largely flat bottom. They are especially suitable for blind holes, through holes and edge drilling, as well as for recessing hinges and fittings or creating cable openings. Depending on the cutting geometry, angled and overlapping holes may also be possible.
Choosing the Right Forstner Bit Set
The available Forstner drill bit sets differ mainly in terms of material, cutting geometry, service life and intended application.
Classic Forstner Bit Sets are suitable for general drilling work in softwood, hardwood and many wood-based materials. They provide a reliable selection for occasional as well as regular use.
Performance Forstner Bit Sets are designed for users who value fast drilling progress, precise guidance and clean hole edges. This category includes high-performance product ranges such as FAMAG Bormax, Fisch Tools Wave Cutter and Black Shark.
Carbide Forstner Bit Sets provide high wear resistance and, depending on the design, are also suitable for particularly hard, coated or abrasive wood-based materials. They are especially useful for frequent use and for materials that cause conventional tool steels to wear more quickly.
Several Diameters Stored Safely
Depending on the version, the sets contain different numbers and combinations of drill diameters. Many Forstner bit sets cover the common sizes required for furniture making, interior fitting and general woodworking.
Depending on the product, the bits are supplied in a wooden box, storage case or system case. This keeps all diameters clearly organised, protected and ready for use.
