Collet size
The collet must match to the coresponding router, the size of the collet usually depends on the power of the router. As a rule, devices up to approx.1,000 watts will not have collets larger tham 8mm. Above 1,400 Watt most manufacturers offer collets up to 12 mm or 1/2 inch.
Collet quality features
Depending on the model and manufacturer, the shape of the collet may differ technically. Also the quality of the collets can vary, as routers operate at very high speeds we recomend only using collets from the original manufacturers and and not replicas. This ensures that the router fit is perfect allowing the router to be used safely
Care tips for collets
After use, collets should be cleaned from time to time in a little solvent, to re-protect against corrosion. They should never opened by force. We recommend disgarding damaged collets to avoid risk of damage or injury.
