Invisible Connections for Furniture

Connecting Technology for Furniture and Devices
Some types of wooden joints can hold together without extra fasteners if they are made very accurately, but usually, they need extra support. In woodworking, glue is important for these joints. Many wooden connections rely only on glue, but glued joints often use additional fasteners like screws, nails, or dowels. The downside of glued joints is that they are usually not easy to take apart, even if they have screws or dowels.

If you need to take the furniture apart later, it’s better to avoid glue and use screws instead.
