Are you practicing good cut hygiene?
And are you also confused about this term? That’s okay, because we may have made it up. But here’s the thing: Getting clean edges on both sides of plywood, multiplex and other sheet materials prone to tear-out isn't easy. When routing, a compression bit is the way to go. It combines two opposing spiral sections: downcut from above and upcut from below. This pushes the wood fibres towards the centre of the workpiece rather than tearing them out at the edges, for the cleanest of cuts. Available with 8 mm and 12 mm shanks.
