Saw blades for wood and wood-based materials
When processing wood and wood materials, it is necessary on the one hand to distinguish more precisely between the different materials and on the other hand to determine the desired cutting quality. This determines factors such as the number of teeth and the tooth geometry of the circular saw blade. For the choice of saw blade, it makes a difference whether you want to saw native hardwood, softwood or tropical wood. For solid wood, it is also important to consider whether you are cutting longitudinally or across the grain.
For wood-based panels, factors such as any (single or double-sided) coating or veneer and the material of the coating also play an important role in achieving tear-free results. But the binder of the wood material should also be taken into account when choosing a saw blade - the service life can vary greatly depending on the hardness of the binder.
