The company Laguna was founded in 1983 by the Danish carpenter Torben Helshoj in Laguna Beach, California, to import European woodworking machinery to the USA. Building on this, Laguna developed a wide range of its own machines, initially also for the commercial and private woodworking sector. The company headquarters has since been relocated to Texas, and they also supply other industries such as industrial woodworking, CNC manufacturing, or metalworking with high-quality products. These machines are now also exported to Europe.
