Founded in 1899, Mafell has long been revered among carpenters for its impeccable craftsmanship. While predominantly recognized in carpentry circles, its products have also become staples in both private and commercial woodworking shops. Often, Mafell's storied heritage is discreetly marked only on the type plate of its vintage and widely beloved Erika table saws.

The company’s cordless drill drivers are celebrated for their robust power reserves, capable of boring deep holes even at substantial diameters. The BST 650 S drilling station further complements this lineup by enabling exceptionally precise angled drilling in various mobile settings.

MAFELL - ALSO KNOWN AS 'THE STORY OF A CAMOUFLAGE NAME'

Underfloor Pull Saw: While accurate, this term can be cumbersome for daily use. In contrast, the nickname 'Erika'—derived from Mafell's first circular table saw launched in 1980—is not only simpler but also reflects the tool’s user-friendliness. Initially, 'Erika' was more prominently displayed on these machines than the Mafell brand name, leading to its widespread adoption in workshops. Consequently, many artisans have used a Mafell saw, often without even realizing it.

Due to its compact design, exceptional craftsmanship, and reliability, the Erika remains a favored choice both on construction sites and as a secondary saw in workshops. Unique in its design, the saw moves the blade rather than the workpiece, ensuring superior cutting precision and enhanced safety. It is available in various models and comes with a comprehensive range of accessories designed to maximize utility.

Circular Hand Saws: Ideal not only for carpentry but for a broad range of woodworking applications.

Mafell Fundgrube

MAFELL. DEVELOPED FOR CARPENTERS. APPRECIATED BY CARPENTERS.

Carpentry often demands cutting through larger wood sections than typically handled in joinery workshops, necessitating powerful motors. However, the tools must remain lightweight enough to prevent user fatigue and support extensive mobile use, independent from stationary power sources through advanced battery technology. Balancing these requirements usually involves compromises, but Mafell has skillfully navigated these challenges to the benefit of various trades. The product lineup spans from the compact yet robust K55CC to the MKS185MC, distinguished by its unparalleled cutting depth of 185 mm. All hand-held circular saws from Mafell are compatible with the company’s proprietary guide rails, available in various lengths and a flexible version for easy transport.

Straight cuts are also possible with a jigsaw!

The electric jigsaw is the go-to solution for intricate curved cuts or interior cuts within a workpiece. Typically, such flexibility might sacrifice cut precision, with longer cuts prone to wandering and edges not always perpendicular to the workpiece surface. Mafell’s engineers have significantly enhanced performance in these aspects with an innovative clamping system and by eliminating the guide roller. The jigsaws are offered in both corded and cordless models to suit any job requirement.

Drilling through thick boards…

The same principles that apply to the carpenter's portable circular saw are relevant for drills: high efficiency balanced with manageable weight. Here too, Mafell excels, offering cordless drills that stand as convincing tools for both carpenters and joiners, thanks to their optimal performance and ergonomic design.
