Countersink HSS
Countersinks are the tool of choice when you want to countersink screw heads flush with the surface of the material. The countersinks are also useful when you want to deburr drill holes in wood or light metals.
The HSS countersink 90° DIN 335C is particularly suitable for deburring drill holes for aluminium profile rails. Our HSS (high-speed steel) countersinks have an angle of 90 degrees between the cutting edges, so that the walls of the drill hole are cut at 45 degrees. This corresponds to the angle of inclination of the underside of the head for countersunk screws.
Difference between countersink and cross countersink
The three-fluted countersinks are less expensive than the cross countersinks, which we also have in our programme. However, the cross countersinks are usually characterised by these advantages:
- longer tool life
- faster cutting
- better quality results
