Using a motor and lift in your router table provides much more flexibility and precision than using a plunge router mounted in a table insert. It simplifies standard tasks and allows you to shape narrower boards, straighten board edges, trim edges and perform various other woodworking tasks. Router tables improve the accuracy and efficiency of all router-related operations.
